How to lose weight without REALLY trying… If you want to lose weight but have a hard time sticking to a diet or a plan then this is the blog for you! Here are the 4 SMALL but MAJOR ways to lose weight without even trying. Drink more water - if you EAT you need to ELIMINATE because poop needs WATER! You need to make poop and flush out toxins through elimination! You also need GOOD QUALITY water and you need to be able to absorb the water you are drinking so add a dash of pure, natural sea salt to your water. I know it sounds weird but just do it, trust me on this one! Now when it comes to tap water is full of nasty crap but it can get worse than just the water coming out of your tap. Check this story out… I was scanning a client and she had an insane amount of mold. She just couldn’t figure out where she would be getting these mold spores from. Her house didn’t have mold, she washes her fruits and vegetables and generally eats clean. A few days after her visit to my clinic she called me to tell me she found the source of the mold and you will never guess where it was!!! In her tap!! They were replacing their kitchen tap for some reason and when they took the old tap apart they found MOLD hidden inside the faucet head! Can you imagine? It almost made us both gag! Honestly I found most of the mold issues stem from the reusable water bottles people use, mold gets tucked in the seals and if its a cheap plastic reusable water bottle who knows what gets in the plastic so buy GLASS or STAINLESS STEEL water bottles and run them through the dishwasher often! If you don’t think you are dehydrated, think again, In my practice 90% of my clients were dehydrated when tested on our body composition machine so drink more water! I could talk all day on water and there is a section in each book about WATER, bottom line is to just drink it! Take fiber daily - this is the one that I find clients are not consistent with. If you think you can take fiber just once in a while and magically you will start eliminating it just won’t work. Again, the word elimination. If you want to lose weight it won’t magically disappear, you need to pee, poop and sweat it out! Yes, food is a great source of fiber but the amount of fiber people eat daily just isn’t consistent so take a fiber supplement EVERY single day. Start small, take 1 tsp of fiber every single morning, again EVERY single morning. I have some great fiber recommendations on my website. I love Herbulk or the Colon Cleanse from BioMed or at the very least Metamucil has a pretty good product that is “natural”, whatever you can purchase just buy it! Portion control - you just need to cut back, you can’t change your life without making some changes. Let’s be real you are probably eating too much food and this is why you are in this situation so take a look at EVERY meal and eat ½ of what you normally would. At the very least cut it back by ⅔. Start here but to go a step further you need to make sure that everything you eat is nutrient dense. Things like pastries and bacon or foods that contain added sugars and refined start provide few nutrients so don’t waste your meal on foods that don’t contain nutrients. Timely eating - Here it is, even if you don’t do any of the above this is the easiest way to lose weight.! The one thing I have found is shortening your eating window to 4-8hrs of eating will dramatically improve your health. You can’t eat all day long from the time you wake up until you fall asleep and expect to lose weight, in fact you will most likely see pounds creep on year after year. Our bodies are not meant to be constantly eating food. Our body needs time to rest and repair so “IF” or Intermittent Fasting is the easiest possible way to do this. Try a window of 10-6pm or 9-5pm then work towards shortening it by an hour, I like to be in the range of 1-5pm as my perfect day but most days it varies and sometimes I eat at 12:30 but then I will make sure I finish eating by 5pm, I try to get close to a 4hr window daily. It doesn’t need to be the same “window” every day but just try to shorten your window daily! That might sound “crazy” to you but honestly once you get down to eating one substantial meal in that window with some snacks around that you will feel better, you will have more energy and you will lose weight!!! Thanks for following my journey to writing a book series!
